This year’s Film Independent Spirit Awards belonged to “The Artist”, who were the biggest winners with a total of 4 trophies, including the top prize for “Best Feature”.
Another film that went home with a couple of honors was “Margin Call” – which won the Best First Feature Award, as well as the Robert Altman Award.

Other winners include Michelle Williams, who won the Best Female Lead for her role in “My Week With Marilyn”, Shailene Woodley who won the Best Supporting Female actress for her role in “The Descendants”, as well as Christopher Plummer, who won the Best Supporting Male actor award for his role in “Beginners”.
