Many ladies spend a fortune on hair treatments, conditioners and serums, all in an attempt to rejuvenate dry, frizzy, unhealthy hair. But it’s really not necessary to spend all that cash – you can get beautiful, healthy hair using all-natural ingredients that you have right in your home!
We’ve talked to beauty experts and put together this list of 5 home remedies that will bring out the best in your hair:
1. Whole Milk & Honey
This is a pretty simple hair treatment that works wonders. Take an 8 ounce glass of whole milk and stir in one teaspoon of honey. Massage this concoction into your hair, making sure you cover all the way to the tips.
Let it soak for fifteen minutes before you rinse it out, then shampoo with lukewarm water. You’ll be amazed at how your hair shines!
2. Banana + Almond Oil
It sounds like smoothie ingredients, but they do delicious things for your hair, too! Mash up a banana in a bowl, add about three drops of almond oil to the mash. Mix it together well, and then slather it onto your hair.
Let it sit for 25 minutes, then rinse well and shampoo.
3. Avocado + Mayonnaise
This is a really good deep treatment for hair, as it helps to restore moisture.
Peel and mash up an avocado, and mix it with one cup of regular mayonnaise. Apply it to your hair; put on a shower cap or wrap your head up with plastic wrap. That will trap heat and help the mixture penetrate more.
Shampoo as usual; remember, you don’t need to condition afterwards. Your hair will be soft and shiny.
4. Mixture Of Strawberries, Egg Yolk, And Olive Oil
Wondering what to do with those over-ripe strawberries? Don’t throw them out – put them in your hair! Just mix them up with an egg yolk and a couple of tablespoons of olive oil.
Blend well – you don’t want it chunky! Work the mixture into your hair down to the scalp, and let it rest for 20 minutes. Rinse it out, then shampoo as normal.
5. Cognac + Egg Yolk
This one sounds a little strange, but I promise that you will love what it does to your hair!
Mix 3-5 teaspoons of cognac with one egg yolk (the amount of cognac depends on how long your hair is). Apply it to your hair, again making sure to cover from the roots all the way to the tips.
