Coconut water is a great choice for a home made sports drink, because it provides a number of the electrolytes that are essential to optimum performance. It’s also great for natural hydration.
Put 3 tablespoons of honey, a 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of green tea in a 1 quart (or one liter) bottle or jug. Fill it the rest of the way with unsweetened coconut water and mix until the honey and salt are dissolved. Keep chilled until ready to use.

3. Coconut Water, Blueberries, Water, And Salt
This option has the benefits of coconut water with the added boost of sugar from the blueberries for sweetness and energy. You will need to make it ahead of time.
Put 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries in the blender and add 1/2 cup of coconut water, 1/2 cup water, and a pinch of salt. Blend on high speed until well liquefied, pour into a pitcher and chill.
4. Watermelon, Lime, And Coconut Water
Watermelon is a great choice for your home made sports drink – it has nutrients that can help alleviate the muscle soreness that can come after a workout, and also provides lycopene for good heart health. To get the juice, just cut up a watermelon and put it in the blender. Liquefy, then push it through a sieve to get the juice.
For a delicious sports drink, mix one cup of the watermelon juice with one cup of coconut water and the juice of one lime. Serve chilled.
5. Orange Juice, Carrot Juice, And Salt
This is a great homemade sports drink that provide many of the electrolytes your body needs have a hard workout. You’ll recover quicker and be ready to go for your next session.
Mix the juice of an orange with 1/4 cup carrot juice and a half cup of water. Add a small pinch of salt, mix and chill for a delicious and healthy after-workout treat.
