1. Always Moisturize
Applying a good moisturizer should be the first step of any makeup routine, and it’s even more important for the “no makeup” look. Even those with oily skin should moisturize using an oil-free product.
Use a moisturizer with SPF protection to hydrate skin and protect your skin from harmful UV rays. It will keep your skin looking fresher and provide a base for smooth application of makeup.

2. Use A Light Touch Of Color On Your Lips
Choose a lipstick or gloss that is the same color as your lips or half a shade darker.
For a more natural look, use your finger or a brush to apply lipstick rather than applying right from the tube. Apply the color from the center of the lip toward the corners for a look that accentuates the lips without being overpowering.

3. Use Minimal Coverage
In the wild, animals use spots for camouflage and concealment; when going for a “no makeup” look, you should use spot concealer the same way.
That means just applying the tiniest amount of concealer to spots or blemishes that need to be covered; use your finger to blend the edges into the surrounding skin.
If you have dark circles under your eye, try using concealer only in the darkest part to even out the skin tone. A light dusting of translucent powder will finish it perfectly.
4. Play Up Your Eyes, Subtly
One way to appear natural but polished is to groom your eyebrows well. Pluck any stray hairs, and brush or comb them to make sure they aren’t bushy or unruly.
Eyeshadow should be in natural shades that match your skin tone; we’re looking for earth tones like sand and taupe. Make sure to blend shadow well. Curl your eyelashes for a natural “doe eyed” look, and apply one coat of mascara – we don’t want the dramatic look here! Clear or brown mascara will look more natural.
5. Avoid Hard Edges
The bold, dramatic liquid eyeliner look certainly has its place, but you want to avoid it when you’re doing a “no makeup” makeover. You’ll also want to avoid strong lines from eyebrow pencils or lip liner, and make sure that all powders and shadows are well blended with no harsh lines.
Use powder as much as possible rather than liquid or pencils. Use a taupe eyeshadow in place of a brow pencil. You can use the same eyeshadow with a thin brush as a natural looking eyeliner. If you absolutely must, you can use a soft brown pencil for eyeliner.
And again, make sure that no matter what make up use, it should all be blended in leaving no lines. You want it all to blend in seamlessly from one color to the next for an absolutely natural look.
