Shampoos For Scalp Psoriasis
Shampoos designed specifically for scalp psoriasis can help reduce itching and help to get rid of the scaly, dry patches on the surface of your scalp and prevent further flare-ups. Shampoos that contain salicylic acid and coal tar are sometimes used to treat scalp psoriasis, but there are other alternatives on the market, including formulas that help to deep clean and remove bacteria and sebum from the hair and scalp.
Other products made specifically for scalp psoriasis contain beneficial emu oil, which is an anti-fungal and antibacterial agent that can help reduce redness, itching and inflammation from past breakouts. Emu oil can also help to thicken the surface of the skin, which may help regulate skin cell production. Healthy Hair Plus makes a variety of shampoos designed specifically for scalp psoriasis.
