3. Kiwi Fruit
A couple of kiwis a day will supply you with 160mg of vitamin C, a known compound for boosting the immune system and giving colds and flus a good swift kick in the rear.
Vitamin C aids the immune system by increasing the supply of antibodies and maximizing white blood cell production. Enzyme production also gets a boost on top of strengthened cell membranes and connective tissues – effectively creating a stronger barrier for the cell against invasion by foreign bodies such as viruses.
4. Japanese Mushrooms
Take your pick, all varieties of Japanese mushrooms are great for strengthening the immune system – whether it’s enoki, oyster, or shitake.
5. Pumpkin Seeds
For your daily intake of zinc you should take a look at increasing your pumpkin seed intake. Zinc boosts the functioning of the thymus gland – the epicenter of your entire immune system.
Your white blood cell count will also increase with a daily dose of zinc from pumpkin seeds and they are also known to have anti-viral properties.

9. Gingko Biloba
Not just a powerful antioxidant for the prevention of colds and flus, but gingko biloba also increases the blood flow to the brain – boosting performance in your memory.
Turmeric contains lots of immune boosting vitamins and minerals including vitamin B6, manganese, iron, and potassium.
