If your hair isn’t growing as well as you’d like, perhaps you need to look at your lifestyle! Hair will grow better when you are eating healthy and getting regular sleep. Likewise, leading a less than healthy lifestyle causes your hair to have a shorter lifespan; in other words, it doesn’t grow as long as it could before it falls out.
But no worries! We’ve got some great tips that will help you get your hair growing longer and thicker – naturally!
1. Drink Plenty Of Water, As Well As A Balanced Diet
Drinking enough water is one of the best things you can do for your hair to keep it supple and hydrated, but you also need to get a balanced diet. That means plenty of healthy foods high in iron, proteins, zinc and magnesium, as well as Vitamins A, B and C.
2. Take Your Vitamins
You don’t need to purchase expensive commercial hair growth “stimulators”; just take regular dietary supplements – you’ll find they can be very effective.
A great combination for hair growth will include B-complex, amino acids and a zinc supplement.
3. Give Yourself An Essential Oil Treatment
A deep treatment using essential oils will nourish the hair shaft, making it stronger and preventing hair from breaking.
4. Massage Your Scalp
Give yourself a daily scalp massage to stimulate blood flow to the roots, encouraging hair growth.
Scalp massage can also help with the flexibility of the collagen in the tissues surrounding the hair roots and follicles, making room for more hair growth activity.
One caveat: those with oily hair or dandruff should avoid scalp massage as it can increase the production of oil.
5. There’s No Such Thing As A “Miracle Shampoo”
There is no shampoo that can stimulate hair growth.
Hair grows from the root, not from the ends, so any product that would stimulate growth would need to penetrate the skin and reach the roots – 4 millimeters below the scalp! And shampoo, obviously, doesn’t penetrate the skin – Enough said.
